How to enter

Three ways to be part of the Homer Awards

Publishers — Submit a title

Submit a title for the Odyssey, Circe, Athena, Aristofanis, Aphrodite, or Herodotus awards. Open to all publishers — major, independent, and small press. Submissions are reviewed for eligibility, and any that don’t meet the rules may be removed.


Submission window: September 1 – December 31, 2026
Fee: €75 for one title · €60 each for 2–4 titles · €50 each for 5 or more

Payment

Readers — Nominate an indie author

Nominate an indie author you love. Post a review of at least 50 words on Amazon or Goodreads, then fill in the form below — your review is your nomination. You must be a member of Thriller Book Retreat or Solo Travel to Greece to nominate.

All nominations are reviewed for eligibility, and any that don’t meet the rules may be removed.

Authors — Submit an unpublished manuscript

The Penelope Award is open to unagented authors with a completed thriller manuscript that has never been commercially published. The prize is a full publishing deal with Imagine Press.

Submission window: September 1 – December 31, 2026
Fee: €30 per manuscript
